This role is ideally suited to candidates who are passionate about renewable energy and technology and would like to learn and contribute to a fast growing demand response company and get some hands on experience.

Desired skills and Experience:

§  You must be comfortable working with computers and new technologies, as we are an innovative company that likes continuously to update our systems
§  Exceptional communication skills, including telephone manner
§  Strong attention to detail
§  Punctuality is a must for this position, particularly when working early shifts
§  Problem solving skills
§  Reliable candidate that is dedicated and willing to provide administrative assistance where needed in other departments.
§  Advanced Excel skills will be valued
§  Some experience with business analysis, data analysis or software mockups advantageous
 

Main Responsibilities:

This role requires for you to be an attentive individual who can respond to calls from the National Grid in a calm, timely and efficient manner. A response involves being able to contact our clients within the given window ensuring that they participate in what we refer to as our Demand Response program.
 
Tasks will include the following:
 
§  System monitoring
§  Customer support over the phone and email
§  Client performance monitoring and analysis
§  Support ad hoc data entry and analysis projects
§  Evaluate processes and come up with ideas for process improvement
 
As this position requires flexibility in its hours, it is ideal for candidates that are willing to work early and/or late hours and weekends.
 
Hours:

The right candidate should be available for at least 20 hours per week. Typical shift hours: 
 
§  Weekdays (including Saturdays): afternoon shifts from 03:00pm – 10:30pm (occasionally morning shifts might be required from 6:30am – 03:00pm)
§  Sunday: 06:30am – 1:30pm and 6:00pm - 10:00pm 

We will try to accommodate preferences and plan shifts in advance but some degree of flexibility and cooperation required when creating monthly rota.

The Strategic Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. Assigned a small number of named customers, he/she is responsible for achieving sales targets and agreed strategic account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.
 
Candidates will have a good understanding of sales and marketing processes and drivers in a B2B environment. Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the role will suit an experienced individual with a background in sales/business development/account management who is capable of building a pipeline as well as creating & executing upon strategic account plans.
The candidate would also need to have experience managing multiple stakeholders and gaining sign off from various C-Level executives up to Board level.
 
While not essential, the ideal candidate will also be familiar with UK energy markets and should also be able to demonstrate proficiency and know-how regarding an enterprise-type sales process and cycle as well as an awareness of technology.

  •   Generating leads and qualifying organisations through industry research in order to hand over leads to the sales team to develop and close
  •   Formulating targeting strategies, highlighting key organisations and contacts and coordinating activity with BDM’s
  •   Leading telesales initiatives from our database of prospective clients
  •   Being the first point of contact for incoming leads, qualifying and distributing them to the sales team
