Flex Assure: DSR Code of Conduct

Today the ADE launched Flex Assure, a Code of Conduct for DSR aggregators of which KiWi Power is a founding member.

Flex Assure has been introduced to govern the DSR industry as it matures and give businesses participating in DSR programmes confidence in the role of aggregators. This is a vital step in creating a framework of governance and transparency which businesses can trust.

The scheme will be overseen by an independent committee and proposes minimum standards businesses should expect from their aggregator across five core areas:

  1. Sales and marketing
  2. Technical due diligence and site visits
  3. Proposals and pre-contractual information
  4. Customer contracts
  5. Complaints

By creating a common framework, the scheme makes it easier for businesses to compare DSR solutions from different providers and make informed decisions.

As the UK’s leading DSR aggregator KiWi Power is pleased to have played an active role in Flex Assure’s development, working closely with the ADE, National Grid (link) and industry peers over the past two years.

Since 2009 KiWi Power has been instrumental in the growth of the UK DSR industry. Today we manage around 400MW on behalf of 80+ clients, empowering businesses across the public and private sector to cut their energy costs and become enablers of a smarter, cleaner energy future.

For the industry to continue to grow and flourish, it’s essential businesses can easily compare DSR solutions from different providers and trust the information they receive.

KiWi Power has always been committed to providing best-in-class solutions across the full range of DSR programmes. We have built long-term relationships with our clients based on openness, honesty and respect.

Flex Assure is a mark of the high standards we continue to set for ourselves and which every business should expect from their DSR aggregator.
